Paula and her husband Les have been professional pet sitters for years, and since their three Golden Retrievers have passed-on they board one or two dogs in their home for fun and company (oh…and for business too.) They are animal first aid certified and trained in canine self-defense to help keep their furry friends safe from not so friendly loose dogs.

Paula is also a professional writer and worked with a European Union pet food and supplies company for years. She has an extensive knowledge of pet food nutrition as it pertains to the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) criteria. She has also developed labelling and documentation for the pet industry in compliance with Health Canada, the EPA, and the FDA.

Pet sitting for both Paula and Les has been one of the best career moves they’ve made and even on the most tiring, wintry, or stormy days, they enjoy every moment of the dogs and cats they look after.

Biscuit is an American and English Budgie. She loves to help our boarding dogs settle-in (from the safety of her cage.) She chats and sings with the music that plays while we’re out…and freaks-out the dogs as they leave the room by yelling out, “HEY BISCUIT! HEY BUDDY!”
